Cotton has had a good time. Mostly he just wants me to hold him. He pretends he can't get up on the couch and he cries till I help him up. He has a buddy for the weekend. MacDuff the Westhighland terrier. He and Cotton share a fondness for the couch and all things pampered. Cotton has been eating during each meal but not always a full portion. He's warmed up to Pete and greets him with a wagging tail once he recognizes him.

We had a playdate this weekend and Cotton protested the humans in "his" yard exactly the way he did with me when we first met. I told them he was working on trust issued regarding humans and asked them to please ignore him. Eventually Cotton made his way over to Dad and then to Mom. Getting closer and closer with each approach. Eventually allowing the Dad to pet him. I was surprised but managed to get a photo :)

He has had a wonderful weekend playing in the yard. He and a small cocker Spaniel named Nickie are our only dogs here today and Cotton has been in heaven because he hasn't had to share my love and attention with so many others. Mostly the two of them slept on the couch all day.

He's eating okay. He loves to make a fuss when Pete comes home and won't settle until Pete is completely downstairs and sitting down. Then he gets up on the couch and greets him.

This isn't the best picture, but it shows Cotton allowing a STRANGER to pet him.  This is Fenway's dad, Fenway is a very mild mannered Lab that showed up today for boarding.

Well this day turned out to be very interesting. We have a gorgeous English Lab staying with us and Cotton is jealous. He will not leave my side and tries to stand between the lab and me. He's eating fine. He's got a taste for pumpkin now. We have a very special spaniel who needs to have pumpkin with her food and Cotton has decided he "needs" pumpkin too :) It's all the rage around here these days. It was a lovely day and the pups mostly just laid around.
